History
The history of Sanborn County Development Corporation dates back to the late 1960’s. Developed with a primary mission of promoting and assisting the growth and development of business concerns. SCDC cultivates relationships with employers who are interested in expansion or new construction. SCDC also unites contractors in developing residential developments to assist in the demand for quality affordable housing.

Purpose of Corporation
The corporation is organized and chartered for the purpose of furthering the economic development of Sanborn County, South Dakota and its environs, and promoting and assisting the growth and development of business concerns, including small business concerns, in said area. The Primary objective of this corporation shall benefit to the community, as measured by increased employment, payroll, business volume and corresponding factors, rather than monetary benefits and profits to the shareholders. Any monetary profits or other benefits which flow to the shareholders shall be merely incidental thereto.
